Adult Sports Report

The Alta Sierra Women’s Club just completed their annual Women’s Invitational.

On October 5-6, ASCC hosted 140 members and guests to the “Martini Madness” golf tournament.

One of the highlights of the tournament was a hole-in-one by Pat Hall, a guest from Lake Wildwood. She said it was the third hole-in-one of her career.

The team of Cathie Krivacic, Theresa Grandi, Jodie Gillespie and Sammy Boehmer was the overall low net score winner with a total of 200.

Overall low gross score went to the team of Chellie Peterson, Marion Holloway, Carolyn Maxey and Patti Gattie with a 246.

The First Flight winners were Lura Gibbons, Joyce Maddox, Andi Davis and Janice Davis with a 210. Second Flight winners were JoAnne HInchcliffe, Debbie Seigworth, Diana Garcia and Nancy Kehl with a 211.

The team of Nancy Mitchell, Mary Crooks, Bertha Dube and Pat Hall won the Third Flight with a team score of 202. The winning Fourth Flight team was Nancy Strand, Donna Richmond, Marlys Greenhalgh, Kay Seenberg with a 209.

Royal Gorge to host Nordic Camp

Royal Gorge will host a world-class Nordic training camp in the High Sierra Dec. 6-9.

The camp will take place at Royal Gorge with nationally-renowned coaches Jeff Schloss, former UNR and Auburn Ski Club head coach and Glenn Jobe, an Olympic biathlete, heading a talented team of coaches. Olympic Alpine skier Kristen Krone will give an afternoon downhill clinic. Coaches will use Dartfish for on-snow video analysis. Physiological testing will be offered.

The camp culminates with the Sierra Nordic First Annual Duathlon on Dec. 10 at the Auburn Ski Club. All ability levels are welcome. Pre-registration required. Camp cost is $389. Single day sessions are $101/day ($16 discount for Royal Gorge season pass holders). To reserve your spot, please visit
