5 questions with … Adam Kremple

Adam Kremple is about to start his senior year at Nevada Union High School. But the NU baseball player was still enjoying some summer fun with the American Legion Post 130 baseball team in this week’s district tournament. Earlier this week, Kremple fielded five questions from Sports Editor Brian Hamilton.

After the high school season and now American Legion, have you had enough baseball yet?

“I’d like to play some more, actually. I’ll play fall ball, too, where we use wood bats.”

What’s the difference between American Legion baseball and high school baseball?

“There are a lot better pitchers in regular high school ball, because a lot of kids play on different traveling teams in the summer. There are a lot of high school teams that don’t have (Legion or travel) teams.”

How do you like your chances in this district tournament?

“I think they’re pretty good. We’re determined. We’re not going to give up till the very last out.”

How did you get started with baseball?”Playing T-ball and my dad (Barry) taught me in Woodland Hills in Southern California.”

Got any plans together after your senior year?

“I’d like to go to a junior college and play there and then maybe go on to a four-year school after that.”
