49er Rotary ski racers take sixth

The 49er Breakfast Rotary Club of Nevada City ski team placed sixth in scratch time and eighth in handicap time at the 31st Annual Tahoe City Rotary Ski Challenge.

The event hit the slopes on March 2 in sunshine and fresh snow at Alpine Meadows. There were nearly 300 skiing Rotarians representing 30 clubs at the event.

The local club was represented by Lock Richards, Dave Carter, Charlie Maier, Kevin Casey, Dale Creighton, Andy Wright, Allan Krosner, Jay Patt, Gregg Olsen, David Palley, Hal DeGraw, Mike Bratton, Tom Dailey and Mike Ferguson.
