Yuba cleanup

A huge thanks to the 500 volunteers who participated in the SYRCL’s Yuba River Cleanup on Sept. 18. Over 18,000 pounds of trash was collected from the Yuba/Bear River and Deer/Wolf creek watersheds. Thank you to these agencies/groups who are invaluable to the event: County of Nevada, BLM, U.S. Forest Service, NID, State Parks, CalTrans, Army Corps of Engineers, Waste Management, Yuba County Water Agency, Friends of Deer Creek, WCCA, NCRCD, City of Grass Valley, Audubon, Sierra Club and Toyotally Awesome Cruisers. In addition, thank you to The Union, KVMR and the many generous businesses who donated raffle prizes and food.
