Writer’s workshop slated for Saturday

On Saturday, Nevada Union Adult Education will offer the first two classes in its Writer’s Workshop Series: Making Money the Write Way and Introduction to Travel Writing and Comped Travel.

In the first class from 8 a.m. to noon, author, columnist and radio talk show host Carmel L. Mooney of Nevada City will show participants how to break into the magazine and newspaper writing market. In the second class at 1-5 p.m., Mooney teaches how to secure free travel, dining, entertainment press trips, and tours.

Registration is at Sierra Foothills High School, off of South Auburn Street on School Alley in Grass Valley. Each class costs $30 with a material fee of $6. Call: 530-272-2643.
