Women of Worth shop

Kudos to the new thrift shop W.O.W. – Women of Worth. Shelly Schmidt started a new store in Nevada City – next to SPD – in order to support programs of private service agencies assisting women and children who are victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. The donations from her store allow a woman to begin a new and safe life by providing her with furnishings, clothing and household goods. I find her intention and goal very inspiring and hopeful. I for one am “wowed” by the fierce commitment she holds to better the lives of others.

The store has immediate needs for volunteers, monetary donations and clean household goods that can be used in establishing new residences.
