Wolf Creek plan

On June 8, the Grass Valley City Council wisely voted to fund a Wolf Creek Trail Master Plan study. This investment opens the way for restoring the creek’s corridor and water quality so that residents and visitors can enjoy streamside recreation.

It will also provide a safe corridor for bicyclists and pedestrians while relieving growing traffic congestion.

Imagine what an asset this could be to the city. It’s a win for everyone because it will enhance property values, attract tourist dollars, provide a useful resource for everyone, and can be funded by millions of dollars of grant money that is available for this work.

The Master Plan will be a collaborative effort, so get involved. Many volunteer hours will be necessary in the long term to craft the plan, apply for grant funding, and see the project through.

Thanks to the City Council and Wolf Creek Community Alliance, which has spearheaded this effort.
