Why rename area?

I totally agree with Bob Wyckoff’s Feb. 26 Other Voices article regarding the the name “Brunswick Basin.” When I came here in 1940, there was the Glenbrook Heights subdivision between Manor Drive and West Olympia Drive. Also, the Glenbrook Gas Co. was where Suburban Propane is now. Before this there was the Glenbrook Race Track.

Why try to rename the area for a mine located three miles away? It’s always been and always will be the “Glenbrook Basin.”
