Who cares about Ivins’ column about Texans?

I wonder why in the world you printed Molly Ivins’ column in The Union on Jan. 15. No one in California wants to know how badly Texas is run when we have a far more inept bunch in Sacramento. After all, Texas has only a $9.9 billion deficit as compared to our $34 or $37 billion deficit. Texas is doing very well compared to California.

May I suggest you make up your own editorial column that gives in detail how our governor has turned our surplus into an enormous deficit that will cost the taxpayers of California dearly and needlessly.
