Where’s PYPR’s objection to NID?

Some 176 properties are being taken by NID and where is Drew Bedwell? Why isn’t PYPR fighting to defend the property rights of Banner Mountain home owners from a real “takings” by Nevada Irrigation District? Why aren’t there any “Stop NID” signs? Maybe because Ernie Bierwagen is a major campaign contributor of Bedwell and sits on the NID board.

For his own desire to be supervisor Drew wants to scare the public into believing that NH 2020 is a threat to their property rights, but now that NID is a real threat, he says PYPR has “no power to control anything” and wants to scapegoat the Supervisors (again). Well, the county has no jurisdiction over NID which is a special district. Drew knows that; he just hopes the voters don’t.

This is like George Orwell’s hypocrisy in “Animal Farm”; some people’s property rights are more equal than others. Is this what can we expect from a Bedwellian future?
