Where’s media on draft legislation?

Have you heard about HR 163 and S89? This pending legislation in Congress creates a mandatory draft for both young men and women ages 18-26 and is expected to become effective in early 2005. This plan also eliminates higher education as a shelter.

Why hasn’t the media covered these bills?

The administration is quietly trying to pass these bills now, while our attention is on the elections. Our action is needed immediately.

You can find HR 163 at http://thomas.loc.gov/. Just enter “HR 163” and click search. It’s less than 2 pages long.

Please take time to write your representative in Congress to let them know how you feel about this legislation. And ask them why they aren’t telling their constituents about these bills.

The Pentagon has already begun filling draft board positions and appeals board slots nationwide.

If this draft is reinstated there should be NO EXEMPTIONS for people with wealth and power or who hold government positions. “Don’t send my child or grandchild anywhere you are unwilling to send yours.”
