Nicole Wheeler and Matthew West, both of Anchorage, Alaska, were married Aug. 10 at Miners Foundry in Nevada City. The ceremony was conducted by the groom’s father, James West.

The bride is the daughter of Gary and Carol Wheeler, both of Grass Valley.

The groom is the son of James and Judy West of Nevada City and Kathryn Simpson of Danville.

The matron of honor was Maggie Marfia of Anchorage.

The bridesmaids were Jen Harrison of Rocklin and the groom’s sister, Mindy West, of Concord.

The flower girl was the bride’s daughter, Sydney Wheeler.

The best man was Virgil Smith of Grass Valley.

The groomsmen were Matt Marfia and Pat Scardina, both of Anchorage.

The guest-book attendant was the groom’s nephew, Brandon Wilkes.

Approximately 200 guests attended the ceremony and dinner reception at Miners Foundry catered by Family Affair.

A three-tier cake made by The Cake Artist was decorated with fresh flowers.

The photographer was Ben Furtado.

The couple honeymooned locally, spending time with friends and family, before returning to their home in Anchorage.
