What’s up with schools?

What’s happening to our schools? My son is a student at Deer Creek School in Nevada City. They complain of low enrollment and they give the students a lot of homework each night. My concern is that because of low enrollment, have they cut staff, such as bookkeepers? On two occasions my son has paid for two hot lunches. Once he’s eaten the two lunches, the school sends home a letter saying he owes for them. I know he’s already paid for them. But since I have no receipt, I end up paying for them again because their bookkeeping is not correct. My son has gone to Nevada City schools since kindergarten; we are not causing the low enrollment problem and should not be punished for it. I suggest the person(s) who take the students’ money get it to the bookkeeper sooner, or they hire a bookkeeper if they don’t have one and send home receipts so the students who are enrolled at Deer Creek and their parents, can have a hassle-free educational experience at this school.
