What ‘straightening’?

In response to a letter of Sept. 21 (“Setting record straight”), and the fire we experienced recently at Ananda:

I’m not sure what record [the letter writer] felt she needed to set straight in regard to Ananda and their representation of Paramhansa Yogananda. Swami Kriyananda and members of Ananda are well-known, not only in the Grass Valley area, but also in many parts of the world, as representing Yogananda’s teachings. We do this by living our lives based on his teachings and by offering those teachings to anyone who is interested in them.

Self-Realization Fellowship also represents Yogananda’s teachings, as do a number of other groups and organizations throughout the United States, Canada, South America, Europe and India.

Perhaps the only record that was set straight is that [the letter writer] belongs to Self-Realization Fellowship and that they have a local meditation group, which is not affiliated with Ananda.
