What is it with these NH 2020 signs?

I realize that with the oncoming political season there are a certain number of signs the traveling public must bear until election day. That’s fine. It’s part of our system and is blissfully short – a couple of months – every two years. What is bothering me are the “No on 2020” signs. They are in many locations, they are too big, and they are illegal. Even if they were political signs for an item or person on the ballot, which they aren’t, they could be up only two months prior to the election.

I wonder about these people that espouse their position with illegal signs (see county code), and why they feel it necessary to ignore and flout the law. Do they feel that their issue, which is not on the ballot and therefore should have no signs, is somehow above the law? It makes me wonder.

There has been a motion at the county level to have the 2020 issue on the ballot in November of this year and so there should be no signs regarding that issue until a normal and legal date. Is that too much to ask of the group that is confident they speak for the majority? It’s time they start acting like a responsible majority and take down their signs until appropriate.

I’ve been told their volunteers are legion, so the actual removal from future development sites should not take any time at all.

It’s bad enough to have the gun show signs up all year.
