What American dream?

It is a sad affair to read what a median price home (single dwelling) costs nowadays in Nevada County ($460,000). I remember the wages to be fair to good in Nevada County. But to afford a $2,700+ a month house payment? This is insane. I feel sorry for the blue-collar workers, much less those in the service industry. And to have to come up with a $92,000 down payment? Is the quality of life that good (or worth it) in Nevada County? Affordable housing has to be in place. I don’t have the solutions, but I am sure there are people out there who do. Give Nevada County back to the working man and find solutions to affordable housing before it’s too late.
