Wells Fargo offers grants for education

Fourteen local teachers will receive grants to put to use in their classrooms through a Teacher of the Year program sponsored by Wells Fargo Bank.

Each of the 14 winners selected by a committee of community members and Wells Fargo employees will receive a $500 for his or her classroom. The top winner will receive an additional $1,5000 grant, and that teacher’s school will receive a $2,000 matching grant from the Wells Fargo Foundation.

Nomination forms are at Wells Fargo branches at 214 Mill St. and Raley’s market, both in Grass Valley. Completed application forms are due Nov. 18.
