Wellness Center offers class on living with pain

“Living Well With Pain” tops the list of classes offered this month by the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Wellness Center.

Taught by Jeffrey Cram, Ph.D., the class meets on second Mondays from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the SHNM Conference Room area.

The class costs $10 per session and helps participants manage chronic pain in holistic ways.

“Healthy Weighs,” Tuesdays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 15 to March 5, provides skills to help people reach optimal weight.

“Diabetes,” Jan. 23 from 7 to 9 p.m., taught by Andy Radvany, M.D., covers current medications, treatments and prevention information.

“Smoking Cessation,” a seven-week series is designed to motivate participants to stop smoking.
