The winners of Sunday’s Constitution Day Parade in Nevada City were:

Best In Parade: first place, Nevada Union High School Band; second place, California Consolidated Drum Band; third place, Caledonia Club of Sacramento Inc.; honorable mention, American Civil War Association.

Best Historical Unit: first place, SAR-Gold Country; second place, Signers of the Constitution; third place, American Civil War Association; honorable mention, American Red Cross.

Best Float: first place, Sierra Christian School; second place, Senior Citizens Foundation of Western Nevada County; third place, Penn Valley Community Float; honorable mention, Cooper Express.

Best Marching Unit: first place, American Civil War Association; second place, Marching Presidents; third place, Vietnam Veterans Chapter 535; honorable mention, First Baptist Church of Nevada City.

Best Equestrian Unit: first place, Aahmes Mounted Patrol.

Best Musical Group: first place, California Consolidated Drum Band; second place, Nevada Union High School Band; third place, Lyman Gilmore Marching Band; honorable mention, Seven Hills Band.

Mayor’s Choice: first place, Kids on Bikes; second place, Friar Tuck’s; third place, Marching Presidents; honorable mention, Sacramento Youth Band and Color Guard.
