Jennifer Ann Wenzel and Paul Bailin, both of San Francisco, were married July 17 in a garden ceremony at Grandmere’s Inn in Nevada City. The ceremony was conducted by Rabbi Jonathan Freirich.

The bride is the daughter of Lynn and Jeff Wenzel of Nevada City. She graduated from Montclair State University with a degree in psychology, and earned a master’s degree in nutrition at Bridgeport University in Connecticut. She works as a senior marketing manager for Wiley Josey Bass Publishing Co. in San Francisco.

The groom is the son of Joan and Jerry Bailin of Lake Worth, Fla. He is a graduate of Tufts University, and earned a master’s degree in business at the University of California at Los Angeles. He is a sales director for Sugo Music in Foster City.

The bride wore a white silk full-length gown with shirred bodice and bell skirt, fingertip veil and rhinestone tiara. She carried a mixed bouquet, along with her grandmother’s handkerchief and wore her great-great-grandmother’s engagement ring.

The matrons of honor were Stacey Wenzel, the bride’s sister-in-law from San Francisco, and Gloria Johnson of Studio City. The flower girl was the groom’s niece, Isabel Bailin, of Westport, Conn.

The best man was the groom’s brother, David Bailin, of Westport.

The groomsman was the bride’s brother, Michael Wenzel, of San Francisco.

Guest book attendants were the groom’s nieces Alexandra Bailin and Juliet Bailin, of Westport.

Ceremonial music was provided by Music in the Mountains’ string quartet that included the bride’s uncle, violinist James Shallenberger, and by the bride’s aunt, vocalist Francine Shallenberger. Music for the reception was provided by Buck Love and the Humperheads.

Approximately 130 guests attended the dinner reception at Miners Foundry.

Catering provided by Anthony’s Catering.

Flowers were provided by Foothill Flowers.

The three-tiered wedding cake was created by Donna Imsand, the Cake Artist, and decorated with the bride’s grandparents’ 1937 wedding-cake topper.

Special guests included numerous relatives from Grass Valley, Sacramento, New Jersey, New York and Florida.

The couple honeymooned in Italy.

They live in San Francisco.
