Kayla Marie VanSon and Justin McClure Pfaffinger, both of Grass Valley, were married June 26 at the VanSon residence. The ceremony was officiated by Steve Belch. Approximately 350 guests attended the ceremony and reception.

The bride is the daughter of Carl VanSon of Grass Valley. She is a graduate of Nevada Union High School and of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, with a degree in finance and accounting.

The bridegroom, also a Nevada Union graduate, is the son of Frank and Suze Pfaffinger of Grass Valley. He is currently a senior at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

The bride wore a Maggie Sottero strapless gown.

The maids of honor were the bride’s sisters, Jennifer and Nicole VanSon.

The bridesmaids were Rachel Rees of Grass Valley, Rachel West of San Jose, Sara Barns of San Luis Obispo, Heidi Erickson of San Luis Obispo and the groom’s sister, Marla Carr of Grass Valley.

The flower girls were Elizabeth and Emma Peterson of Grass Valley.

The best man was the groom’s brother, Max Pfaffinger of Grass Valley.

The groomsmen were Ben Brown, Andy Cerrona, Jacob Daley and Sam Guzman, all of Grass Valley, and George Davis of San Luis Obispo.

The photographer was Chris Harada.

The couple honeymooned on Kauai.

They live in San Luis Obispo.
