Wedding: Pasos-Beatie

Lindy Jansen Pasos of Folsom and Gordon Kenneth Beatie of Rough and Ready were married April 20 at Nevada City United Methodist Church. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Barbara Smith.



The bride is the daughter of Herna Jansen and the late Jan Jansen of La Selva Beach. She is a graduate of Peterson High School in Sunnyvale and of California State University at San Diego. She works for Community Health Charities of California in Sacramento.




The groom is the son of Helen Arbogast Beatie and Ken Beatie of Rough and Ready. He is a graduate of Nevada Union High School and of University of the Pacific at Stockton. He works for Holt of California.

The maid of honor was the bride’s daughter, Julianna Pasos.

The flower girl was the bride’s niece, Tara Shreve.

The best man was the groom’s son, Ryan Beatie; and the best woman was the groom’s daughter, Elisa Beatie Jones.

Approximately 80 guests attended the ceremony and reception at the National Hotel.

The ceremony was dedicated to the memory of the bride’s father and the late Dr. Ernie Wood, the groom’s brother-in-law.

The groom’s parents were married 62 years ago at Nevada City United Methodist Church. Both attended the wedding.

The bride’s aunt and uncle came from the Netherlands to attend.

The cake was provided by Hollywood Sweets.

The flowers were provided by Foothill Flowers.

The soloist was Tami Wood Somera, the groom’s niece.

The couple is building a house in Rough and Ready.
