Anamarie Elvira Huerta of Carpinteria and Benjamin Lewis Franc of Grass Valley were married June 19 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Montecito. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Albert Huerta.

The bride is the daughter of Raymond and Diane Huerta of Solvang and Carpinteria. She is a graduate of Harvard University and earned an MBA at Stanford University. She works in the field of corporate strategy and planning in Palo Alto.

The bridegroom, a Nevada Union High School graduate, is the son of David and Mary Franc of Grass Valley. He graduated from Stanford and from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. He is an assistant professor of radiology at the University of California-San Francisco.



The maid of honor was Daniele Schechter Huerta, the bride’s sister-in-law, of San Carlos.

The bridesmaids were Michelle Giovannoli of Pinole and Jessica Vando of Seattle, Wash.




The ring bearer was Bryce Huerta, the bride’s nephew, of San Carlos.

The best man was Jay Mandal of Milpitas.

The groomsmen were Harley Andes of Grass Valley, Jim MacDonald of Emerald Hills and Frank Huerta, the bride’s brother, of San Carlos.

Family and friends celebrated with the couple at a dinner reception at the Montecito Country Club.

The couple honeymooned in Nevis and St. Martin in the Caribbean.

They live in San Carlos.
