We stopped Vietnam War, now we will stop Bush

I know I am not alone in feeling frantic about the way the selected leaders of our country are rushing down the path to aggression and war.

In the most recent New Yorker magazine, there is an article about the speechwriter who wrote the “Axis of Evil” line for the State of the Union address. He was told to write words which would justify starting a war. Read that sentence again! How can anyone doubt that there is a very deep ulterior motive at work in the Bush administration?

Mario Savio said: “There’s a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can’t take part; you can’t even tacitly take part, and you’ve got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you’ve got to make it stop.”

This is the time for all who oppose current policies to make their opinions known. This is the time to march and demonstrate and write letters. Don’t let Mr. Bush kill our kids or anyone else’s in his drive to hegemony.
