Watching their language

We appreciated reading the (letter to the editor) “When good clowns go bad” (Aug. 13).

The Nevada County Horsemen club has been a family-oriented organization for more than 50 years and agrees the clowns and announcers should watch their language, keeping in mind there are children in the audience. We plan to have many more rodeos and hope you will attend them all, since you love them so much. Your letter has been forwarded to Jeff Davis, the owner of the production company that put on this year’s bulls-only rodeo.

Only by pointing out the errors of our ways will we be able to change them.

Thank you for being a concerned citizen.
