Toy, food collection

Organization that provides positive adult role models to at-risk children needs your help for this one-time event. Several volunteers needed to collect food and toys, wrap presents and load gifts into vehicles. Shift is Dec. 14 from 1:30-4:30 p.m. at the Nevada County Fairgrounds.

Office Angel

Your good office skills and computer knowledge are needed by organization that funds and supports quality health and human services in our community. Pro-active, fun-loving volunteers needed to assess and help organize office needs, file and do data entry. Flexible hours.

Secretary to board

Local organization that works to ensure that our county’s natural beauty is accessible to people with disabilities needs your help. Record and type minutes for monthly board meetings, participate in board decisions, and become familiar with nature trail. Meetings are from 5-7 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month.

Candy Sales

Friendly, helpful volunteers needed by organization that provides advocacy services to abused and neglected children in Nevada County. Wait on customers, make change, process credit card payments, etc. Various 2-3 hour shifts, now through Dec. 23.
