Visit library Friends’ book sale

At an early age, I was taught the joys of reading. I try to get to the library sale each month and enjoy seeing the youngsters in the children’s nook, picking out their special books.

I was delighted when the “Friends of the Library” decided to let the children in early one Saturday so they could browse in their area without an adult getting in first. No one was allowed in the other rooms until the regular 10 a.m. opening time.

I hope the staff will repeat this “early Saturday” again for our children. If you enjoy reading and haven’t been to the sale, it is the first Saturday of the month and the old Nevada City library. You are missing out on a good thing.

Come early and come often.
