Use the Fair shuttle

Besides the heat, I’m willing to bet the traffic congestion, parking and long walks from their cars are other reasons that keep people from attending the Fair, and I don’t understand why more people don’t take advantage of the free bus shuttle provided by Jim Keil Chevrolet.

I’ve been using it for years and wouldn’t think of going any other way. Not only do I not have to pay for parking, but I also don’t have to wait in long lines to get in or out of the fairgrounds. The bus leaves from the high school every 20-30 minutes and drops riders right at the main gate so that walking is kept to a minimum.

If more people would take the bus, it would really cut down on traffic. Maybe we could even get the Keil people to add a second bus so that they would leave every 10-15 minutes and earlier on Sunday, so that people attending the 9 a.m. worship service could use it, too.

Perhaps The Union needs to advertise it better so that more people are aware of it. I think it’s terrific, and I appreciate Jim Keil for providing the service.
