Use of Telecare vouchers expanded

Patrons who use vouchers to pay for rides on Gold Country Telecare can now use the vouchers for travel to all local destinations.

The vouchers, which provide a 50 percent discount on rides, were restricted to medical trips July 1 because of budget cutbacks. That policy has been reversed, and vouchers are now good for all trips in the county and medical trips outside the county.

Vouchers are available for people age 60 and older. For more information, call Telecare at 272-1710.
