Uniqueness of NC created by people building what they want

Once again, one of our neighbors misses the point!

A writer feels an attempt is being made to usurp the “uniqueness” of Nevada City.

1. Does he think all the early landlords, shop owners, miners, etc., that created all this “uniqueness” were designers/decorators, or was it created by people building what they want?

2. “Newbies” and the clueless? Must be a new rock band! Couldn’t locate their CD at the local record shop. I’ll bet they want that big garage to practice in.

3. The Roman coliseum fell apart due to wars and the elements over long periods of time – the same elements a local resident no longer wants to carry his groceries through, to get to his kitchen.
