Unbelievably biased

William Kroot’s [Aug. 9 Other Voices] column justifying the Zionist movement and the slow genocide of the Muslim Arab population of “Palestine” was an unbelievably biased representation of history.

For me as an American, I do not care that much if “Westernized” Jews from around the world want to return to Palestine and force the indigenous population into the hopeless squalor of refugee camps based on a literal interpretation of the tales of the Old Testament. It is just another rotten human situation that America has little control over.

Our own history of terrible mistreatment of Native Americans is not a chapter we should be proud of. I don’t care how big the Israelis grow their oranges – unless their society become more inclusive and forgiving, they will pay the price of endless violence by their activities.

What I do care about is the American taxpayer supporting such activities. I am tired of the Jewish lobby and media buying off American politicians who are funding these policies. There is nothing in this for 97 percent of non-Jewish Americans. It sets the entire Muslim Middle East against us and needlessly endangers Americans. All of Europe figured this out decades ago. Wake up, America.
