Turned off by Republican fighting, he’ll vote for Izzy

According to The Union’s story, “GOP meeting becomes ugly,” (Sept. 13), Greg Seghezzi is concerned that Rene Antonson’s candidacy “would rob votes away from Republican nominee Robin Sutherland.” First, a correction: the Republican Central Committee cannot “nominate” anyone in the nonpartisan race for District 4 supervisor. They did, however, “endorse” Ms. Sutherland.

Second, Ronald Reagan gave Republicans the 11th Commandment: “Thou shalt not speak ill of another Republican.” Mr. Seghezzi broke that commandment and took a swing at his fellow Republican. Shame, shame!

Republican infighting and brawling are yet more reasons why I’ll vote for Izzy Martin. Izzy is what “nonpartisan” means.
