True patriots show love by voting

Ever since Sept. 11, 2001, I keep wondering how many of the people who have affixed all those American flags to their vehicles and properties and public bridges show their patriotism by voting.

It is really a shame how few people vote today. We now have permanent absentee ballots, as well as people registering potential voters around town and at the motor vehicle department. The weather and transport shouldn’t be a factor today.

There is no excuse for not voting if you can. It doesn’t matter who’s running for office. If you don’t like the candidates, get involved with a political party. If you don’t understand the propositions, get someone to explain them to you. If you don’t vote, you are making the votes of those who do more important.
