Trouble in Nevada County

Our newly elected Sierra College trustee is a 26-year-old novice with an agenda injurious to the college district in general and disastrous for Nevada County in particular. Young Aaron Klein was placed in office through the extensive political and financial involvement of right-wing Rocklin power brokers.

Young Mr. Klein immediately did what he was hired to do, delivering baseless allegations against Sierra College President Kevin Ramirez and demanding his resignation. No charges have been filed because no crime was committed – except for the politically incorrect offense of getting a public school bond passed that the wealthy Rocklin crowd opposed.

Nevada County residents shall benefit for years to come from the inspired and principled leadership of Dr. Kevin Ramirez, who succeeded in greatly expanding services and facilities for Grass Valley and Truckee.

Kevin Ramirez, for his sake, has turned away from the Rocklin political machine, but Nevada County residents must not. We need to let our young trustee know – in very certain terms – that his job is to represent Nevada County students, not the Rocklin pols dedicated to a “do little” plan for Grass Valley and Truckee.
