Traffic Safety Committee opening

Grass Valley has an opening for a resident to serve on a committee that handles traffic safety issues in the city.

The Traffic Safety Review Committee was recently reconfigured to include two members of the public, a council member, and various staff members with public safety and transportation-related responsibilities.

The committee meets four to six times per year and helps provide guidance to the City’s traffic safety efforts by monitoring the police department’s management program, conducts hearings, recommends traffic calming measures, and reviews citizens traffic safety concerns.

Residents are not paid for serving on the committee. Those interested in being considered should send a letter of interest to City Clerk Bobbi Poznik-Coover at City Hall, 125 E. Main St., Grass Valley.

For more information, contact Poznik-Coover at 274-4310 or via e-mail.
