Time for sign removal is now

Wow, you and your publisher were certainly adamant in your back-to-back editorials supporting those folks displaying their huge “No on NH 2020” signs! You know, the ones at Robinsons Timber’s headquarters, their gas station, their Idaho Maryland Mine, and on their proposed huge subdivisions at North Star Mine and across from Hansen’s. Your editorials say this is the wrong time to enforce the law. Are you suggesting that the Board of Supervisors should ignore citizen complaints when there might be political fallback? You say only five citizens have filed written formal complaints, how many should it take before the county responds and enforces the law? Perhaps you could inform us when the opportune moment arrives to enforce the sign ordinance against these big developers. Would it be after they’ve succeeded in ousting Conklin and Izzy, and get the green light to go ahead with the shopping center and the thousand or so houses behind Raley’s? I gotta go. I’m on my way to add my name to the file of complaints. Thanks for stating The Union’s position on NH 2020 so straightforwardly.
