This election is shaping up

This election is shaping up to be extremely significant for the future of Nevada City. City Council candidates present a stark choice between Roseville-style development, and preservation of the excellent environment and quality of life that make our town so wonderful. The large-growth candidate in Nevada City is Denis Kutch. He or his supporters want an 80-unit apartment complex on West Broad Street, a mini-mart next to the Assay Office, and a new supermarket complex just past the west end of town on Highway 49. Conley Weaver and Kerry Arnett want to preserve the character of our town, not destroy it.
