This and that

How long will it take Michael Moore before he sings the praises of the “freedom fighters” in Russia, those Chechnyans and Arab terrorists who starved, dehydrated, terrorized and killed well over 300 children and adults at a school in Russia?

On a different note: Recently, at the planning meetings for the South Yuba River, the majority present voted to remove 100 parking spaces at Bridgeport. This section of the river is the only accessible place for the handicapped and is easily accessed by people with small children.

The next meeting, on Sept. 14, at 6:30 p.m. at the LOVE building in Condon Park, will address the possibility of charging parking fees at Bridgeport. If you don’t want to pay parking fees when you visit the river, please show up at the next meeting and make your voice heard! Otherwise it will be left up to the neighbors, whose natural inclination is to further restrict use, keeping the river “pristine” for themselves.
