The sacrificial lamb

Who would have ever thought of Don Rumsfeld, the pompous, dictatorial secretary of Defense, as a lamb?

But there he was, the morning after Tuesday’s elections, being thrown to the wolves by his boss George W. Bush.

The people of the United States voted to give the Democrats an overwhelming majority in the House of Representatives and even an unexpected narrow majority in the Senate.

People must remember that Rumsfeld was only doing what Bush and Cheney told him to do.

And the Democrat party must be smart enough to realize that Tuesday’s vote was not so much pro-Democrat as it was anti-Bush and his war in Iraq.

The feeding frenzy at the public trough by the Republican majorities in congress and the “culture of corruption” they fostered was a supporting factor for dumping the Republican majorities in both houses of Congress. (Beware Democrats)

Just remember that the Secretary of Defense works for Bush/Cheney and has to do what they want. So this immediate change in secretary may be just smoke and mirrors.
