The noisy harbor

Our ship had just returned from a strip across the Atlantic, part of a convoy of the largest number of ships in convoy to be sent across in WWII.

We were anchored in East River, New York, harbor. So many ships in we couldn’t get berth at docks.

What a sound all ships, boats, whistles, horns, anything that made noise was making on this great day.
