The Left has failed to weaken this country

Janine Rickard’s recent article was a classic piece of liberal doctrine, including nearly every fallacy in the leftist play book. The highlight was her “levels of moral development;” in which those who embrace a One World doctrine are the uppermost hierarchy. Naturally, those who merely love their country first and foremost are at an inferior stage of development.

Only someone with no knowledge of history (or else utter contempt for it) could be so blind to the realities of human nature. Such is ideology of good intentions, where ignorance is supplanted by arrogance.

Ms. Rickard tells us that since Sept 11, those of us “entrenched” in our love for America feel “outrage, fear, and humiliation.” As far as Islamic terrorism goes, I feel none of those things. Rather, I feel the pure, unrestrained desire for blood revenge. Outrage is reserved for my fellow Americans who place ideology above the safety and integrity of our nation. About as many Americans were murdered on Sept. 11 as died at Lexington and Concord, the Alamo, Fort Sumter, the sinking of the Lusitania and at Pearl Harbor – combined. All the liberals can do is wring their hands and ask, “Why do they hate us?” That’s no mystery; it’s called envy. Those who wish to emulate us can do so. The Constitution is available for all to read.

The left has fooled itself for too long. Because it dominates the media and universities it believes that the rest of us will be ostracized, brain-washed, and re-educated. They have tried to castrate the American warrior ethic for nearly 40 years. Guess what? They have failed in everything except to really tick us off.

The historian, Victor Davis Hanson wrote:

“Western nations from the Greeks to the present are not weak at war but enormously lethal; nor is their power merely an accident of superior technology; instead, it is founded on our very ideas and values … Setbacks from Cannae to the Little Bighorn have led not to capitulation but rather to study, debate, analysis – and, finally, devastating reprisals.”

Sharon Seck: Kudos to Yuba Docs

I cannot say enough good things about Yuba Docs, our urgent care facility in Grass Valley. Saturday about noon, a close relative had a close encounter with a chainsaw resulting in a pretty deep-looking gash…
