Thanks to movie theater operator

We could not let 2001 fade into the past without saying thank you to Ross Woodbury for the many years of movie enjoyment at the Magic Theatre under his management. He has made a large contribution to the culture of our community, one that much larger communities lack, and he has done it out of love, certainly not for money. It is over 18 years since we first attended the Magic as visitors to Nevada City. We bet most fans can also remember their first Magic Theatre experience and many other highlights over the years.

The Magic Theatre under new management has a new look and sound, but is still showing unusual films which, except for the excellent Nevada Theatre series, are not likely to be shown at the regular commercial theaters.

We hope that our community will help the Magic Theatre to continue to thrive. Film lovers here are really lucky.
