Thanks for helping in search for Malakai

A huge thank-you to all those people who have been attentive to our signs posted regarding our missing dog Malakai. It is very comforting to get a phone call, even if it has not produced her return.

Our concern is that Malakai has a pit-bull-looking face, and even though she is the friendliest dog, some may be afraid of her and scooting her along. She is a 2-year-old lab/pit/boxer mix with a brindle color (marble-looking) and a black collar on. She lives on Idaho Maryland Road and has been missing since Jan. 16.

She belongs to my son John, who is currently stationed in Virginia. He loves this dog and is devastated. Please call the animal shelter if you have any information about her. Nevada County Animal Control has been wonderful, and they have all of our contact numbers. Her picture is posted on their Web site,
