Taste wine, cook on May tour to France

The Grass Valley branch of Cultural Homestay International is sponsoring a wine tasting and cooking tour to Provence, France, May 11-23. The host is Richard Scammell of Grass Valley.

Five cooking classes will be held in a circa-1680 chateau, featuring regional cooking of southern France. There will be tours of local wineries around Aix in Provence, Chateauneuf de Pape and other places. There will also be visits to Nimes, Avignon, Toulon, Cassis and other local villages and Roman ruins.

The tour is limited to 12 participants. The price includes airfare, accommodations, some meals and transportation in France. Hotel accommodations include private bath and kitchen. For more information, call Richard at 272-3419 or CHI at 800-395-2726.
