Swing dance Saturday night benefits Neighborhood Center

Carol Feineman

While big band dance lovers of all ages swing Saturday night to music by the Sierra Gold Big Band, the dancers will also be helping to raise money for the nonprofit Neighborhood Center of the Arts.

All dance proceeds will go to the nonprofit organization, which operates an art and community program for developmentally disabled adults in Grass Valley.

Donating its time, Sierra Gold Big Band will play from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Nevada County Fairgrounds’ Festival Center.

Admission is $18 in advance and $20 at the door, which includes coffee and dessert. A no-host wine and beer bar will also be available.

The fairgrounds is at 11228 McCourtney Road in Grass Valley.

Call 272-7287 for tickets or information.
