Swimming critical for kids

A big thank you to Ina Elrod and the Penn Valley Hi-Graders Lions Club. Ina, as part of her community service in this organization, donated her lifeguard services to NCSOS Special Education students for the entire school year.

The Lions’ dedication and commitment to the families of our community is incredible. Without the Lions’ support, swimming may not have been possible for our students this year.

Swimming is critical to our students. The physical and mental health benefits are endless. Some of our wheelchair-bound students even learn to walk while in the water. Best of all, the children absolutely love it – and Ina too.
