‘Strut Your Mutt’ benefit slated Oct. 12

The students of the 49er Regional Occupation Program animal and veterinary class will host the annual “Strut Your Mutt” dog walk to benefit AnimalSave’s efforts to build a no-kill animal shelter.

The dog walk will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 12 at Lion’s Lake, Gate 4 of the Nevada County Fairgrounds. A special contest at noon will select the largest and smallest dogs, the dog with the longest tail, and the best-dressed dog.
