Strong candidate

I strongly disagree with the writer who suggests that Democrats change their registration to Republican so they can vote for Mike Holmes (i.e., against John Doolittle) in the Republican primary.

We Democrats have an excellent candidate for the 4th district of our own in Charles Brown. Charlie received a congressional appointment to the Air Force Academy, graduating in 1972. After a distinguished 26 year Air Force career, Charlie taught high school here in California and has spent the past seven years with the Roseville Police Department. He believes in a quick and secure end to the war in Iraq; protecting Social Security; increased access to quality, affordable health care for all; and preservation of the environment. Charles Brown, along with his wife Jan, are just the people of integrity we need here in the 4th district.

I suggest that Republicans take a good look at Mr. Brown’s credentials and consider changing their registration to the Democratic Party. With Doolittle’s reputation sullied by scandal and his integrity in question, I believe Charles has an excellent chance of going to Washington and will represent fairly all citizens of the 4th congressional district.
