Stop the name-calling

In a letter published by The Union last week, the writer calls SYRCL “a group of neo-fascists.”

I am deeply disappointed and outraged at the The Union for printing any letter that contains name-calling. If The Union publishes a letter that contains an unfair and derogatory characterization of the writer of last week’s letter, I will be equally angered. It doesn’t matter where I, or anyone else, stands on the issues. It’s the quality of the debate that has an impact on our community.

It’s a simple fix, Mr. Editor. Do not publish any letter that contains name-calling, and you may one day be publishing a paper that serves our community, instead of dishonoring it.
