So many with bullies’ attitudes

There are many movements about; my favorite, “personal growth,” is growing by leaps and bounds because, unlike the many organized dogmas, this one works with grace and speed from the inside out. This effectiveness happens every time we operate from inner invitation, free from the common resistance we all have to being told how to behave.

Culturally, little heed has been given the development of inner wisdom; long we have been taught to respect and emulate teachings, many old and poorly translated, often translator, disciple, apostle has at best grasped but little of teachings solidly based, established to promote understanding and kindness amongst peoples; yet given to well intended, sometimes poor translations become cornerstones of where difference and separation fester, where children see the incongruity of do what I say, not what I do.

Many, so many people today have attitudes of bullies, certain they are right, easily see and find fault with others – quite little aware the true reason they dislike something about another is because within each and every single bully is someone who bullies himself, probably lifelong, silently, deeply, below the surface, not liking themselves, and without self approval, blame others, find others to correct, many to disapprove of.

Little wonder how wars begin, always the projection of self-dislike onto others results in the high drama of power struggles. The origin of relationships that do not work, first at home, then the workplace, then the community, the global community. Those who make war, those who bully, those who justify and use violence to end terror, those certain they are the one that’s right, are without exception the victims of their own inner self dislike.

Regardless of sides, those that use anger against another, violence to quell violence, understand not the origin of the problem, nor the simple solution to our many sad human dramas. Name any human problem: domestic violence, terrorism, drugs, war, any impropriety; the solution remains the same, constant, never changing, said many ways and easily had by those brave enough, kind enough to look within and heal what never was.
